Midwifery Training in Hong Kong
At present, the only midwifery training programme approved by the Midwives Council of Hong Kong is the Hospital Authority 18-month Post-registration Diploma in Midwifery. The theoretical training of the programme is provided by the School of Midwifery of the Prince of Wales Hospital, while the clinical placement will be conducted in the maternity unit of various clinical training grounds approved by the Council. A person must be a registered nurse in Hong Kong in order to fulfill the entry requirement of the programme.
